The largest room in the house, The Ponsonby Suite is ideal for those who plan to stay a little longer. There is a separate sitting area in the front window of the house with Queen Anne wing chairs and footstools so you can relax enjoying the afternoon sun and the views along Ponsonby Road. The Victorian decor includes an antique writer’s desk, stained glass and leadlight windows, a beautiful traditional fireplace and heavy blackout drapes. Facilities include a luxurious queen bed, ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee making area with fridge and 32 inch LCD TV.

We have installed a new air conditioning and heat pump system to cool the room in summer and heat in winter.

Free unlimited Wi-Fi (ultrafast fibre connection) available in all rooms. Full cooking facilities are available in the extensively equipped main house shared kitchen / dining room and there is a cozy TV lounge for guests to relax in.

Our latest upmarket accommodation : the Ponsonby Manor is a fully renovated guest house situated on trendy Ponsonby Road this is a victorian manor house that has been renovated to the highest standard. Originally built around 1865 it has many features of a past gone era including beautiful Victorian fire places, stained glass windows and amazing views to the city and harbour … and everything is brand new!

Life at the Ponsonby Manor is very simple and easy. Daily cleaner, all electricity, water, and local telephone calls are inclusive in the weekly tariff.
